Melbourne, Australia | April 20, 2016 | A 31 years old Somali Cab driver had finished his shift on Wednesday night and was on his way to his  home when he was  stabbed to death in his neighborhood of Fitzroy , Melbourne .

The victim died for upper body injuries from knife, not too far from a  house he shares with his parents.

Paramedics and police officers from the nearby Fitzroy Police Station tried to save the victim but he died at the scene.

It’s understood the driver was not robbed, It may be just a random attack and the investigation is under way.

Fellow country man and Taxi driver Abdul Botan described the victim as very nice and gentle who has never had issues with others, saying it’s very sad day for all Somalis here and he will be missed dearly.
